Northern Chasers
Northern Chasers are a group of cross country courses that are under the banner of UK Riders, they are all of the highest quality and offer safe schooling for all levels of riders. It is necessary to phone and book a time to ride as they can be quite busy also some courses run competitions please contact them for more details.


All the courses listed here are inspected each year for safety, quality of fences and ground conditions by experienced course inspectors.

Set in 600 acres of grassland the course is constantly under review and is changed on a regular basis to give fresh and interesting rides. It is a great confidence builder for horse and rider and has to be one of the best places available for fitness and conditioning. Club house has aga for tea, coffee and biscuits

Over 90 fences with two water crossings and a full water complex, also three steeplechase fences. Ideal for fitness or just for pleasure, Techinacal field with fences for training clinics. We also have bed and breakfast facilities fo horses and riders (ETC graded 4stars and level 2 disabled accessible) Fly fishing and clay pidgeon shooting can be arranged. UKRiders competitions throughout the summer.

Please book in advance we are open all daylight hours.Event clinics,schooling area,water complex, steps, ditches and corners. Wash down areaand refreshments available. Most fences have all weather take offs and landings. New fences are always being added and stabling is available.

This picturesque course travels through woodland and fabulous grass tracks. The jumps are all user friendly and inviting with a range of 1ft to 3ft3 inches There is also a schooling field with corners, coffins, trekehner steps and water jump. In addition to this there is a sand,fibre and rubber arena with show jumps.Tuition is available and also occasional vacancies for DIY liveries.Pre booking essential.

Six miles of grass tracks with 34 crosscountry fences with heights from 2ft to 3ft and water complex, Large yard with plenty of parking space, drinks available, wash down area for horses. B & B available in farmhouse good local hosteleries for evening meals. We are only 1 mile from the A1 trunk road and only a short distance from Burghley Horse Trials and Oasby. 7 miles from Arena UK Show Centre.
